A lone synth drone fades in through darkness, a pulsing chime like clockwork. This is what loneliness feels like at the far reaches of space. As the robotic voice sings, the hero drifts hopelessly through space. More orchestral instruments add in as the hero starts to collect himself. He realizes that he’s better off now than he ever was. He realizes that he’s been set free and embraces the beauty that surrounds him among the stars. At the end of the piece, the damaged comm starts receiving transmissions from a nearby satellite. Has our hero REALLY been alone all this time?
